Jorge Barajas Hernandez

From Bucaramanga, a city with a proud football identity in the heart of Colombia, Jorge Barajas has built more than nine years of professional experience documenting the game from the front line. Since 2017, his camera has followed Colombian professional football from domestic competition to the international stage. His portfolio includes coverage of FIFA tournaments, CONMEBOL competitions, World Cup Qualifiers, Copa América, Colombia National Team matches, domestic league finals, international futsal, and women’s football competitions. Jorge’s experience is rooted in the demanding environment of live football, where timing, anticipation, editorial judgment, and the ability to deliver under pressure are essential. His work moves between decisive match action and the emotion surrounding it — players, supporters, celebrations, tension, and the visual culture that gives Colombian football its distinctive character. Currently accredited for professional football coverage with Atlético Bucaramanga and Cúcuta Deportivo, and accredited as a sports journalist through ACORD Colombia, Jorge combines the perspective of a journalist with the instinct of an experienced sports photographer. He joins the international photography network of Eleven One Media as a Senior Sports Photographer & Journalist, bringing proven field experience, strong knowledge of South American football, and a visual record shaped by years of major national and international competition.
