Carlos Regnier

Carlos Regnier’s work focuses on the essence of athletic competition, where the intensity of the game meets the human moments that give an image its meaning. Based in Portland, he documents high school, club, and collegiate sports with an eye for what exists beyond the final score: performance, emotion, fleeting details, and decisive moments that can tell an entire story within a single frame. His visual approach is centered on preserving the living memory of sport, creating images that combine the power of competition with the authenticity of the moment — photographs made not simply to record what happened, but to preserve why it mattered.
