Privacy Settings & Cookie Policy

Eleven One Media LLC · Qatar Financial Centre Registration No. 4312 · Doha, State of Qatar

Version 1.0 · 2 September 2026

Key principle

Eleven One Media will not treat optional tracking as consented merely because a visitor continues browsing. Strictly necessary technologies may operate where required for the service; analytics, functionality and advertising technologies that require consent should remain disabled until the user makes an affirmative choice.

1. About This Policy

This Privacy Settings & Cookie Policy explains how Eleven One Media LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on elevenone.media and related websites, web applications, applications and digital services, and how visitors can control non-essential technologies.

It should be read together with the Eleven One Media Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and, where applicable, Licence Information and contributor-specific policies.

2. Who We Are

Eleven One Media LLC is a limited liability company incorporated and registered in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), Doha, State of Qatar, under QFC Registration Number 4312. It is represented by Mr. Redha Hosni Seggani, Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

Eleven One Media operates as an international media agency and platform across photography, photojournalism, journalism, video, reporting, news, sport, politics, entertainment, culture and other editorial fields. The company also has operations and a presence in the United States, including New York.

3. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small data files stored on or accessed from a user device when a website is visited. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, local storage, software development kits (SDKs), device identifiers, server-side identifiers and comparable technologies used to operate, secure, measure or personalise digital services.

Some technologies are essential for a service to function. Others may be used for analytics, preference storage, personalisation, advertising, attribution or other optional purposes.

4. Categories We May Use

CategoryPurposeDefault / Control
Strictly NecessaryRequired for core website or platform functions such as security, authentication, session management, load balancing, fraud prevention, consent storage and delivery of requested services.Required where technically necessary; cannot normally be switched off through the preference centre.
Analytics / PerformanceHelp us understand visits, traffic, feature usage, errors and performance so we can improve our services.Off by default where consent is required; activated only after the user permits this category.
Functional / PreferencesRemember choices such as language, region, layout or other optional preferences and may enable enhanced functionality.Off by default where the technology processes personal data and consent is required.
Advertising / TargetingMay measure campaigns, build audience segments, limit repeated advertising, personalise advertisements or support advertising attribution.Off by default and activated only after valid consent where required.
Social / Embedded MediaMay be set when third-party social, video, map or other embedded services are loaded.Blocked or limited before consent where required, unless the user directly requests the embedded service and another lawful basis applies.

Where consent is the appropriate lawful basis, Eleven One Media will request a clear affirmative choice before placing or activating optional cookies or similar technologies that process personal data. Consent will be specific enough for users to understand the relevant categories and purposes.

The QFC Data Protection framework recognises consent as a lawful basis and its published guidance specifically addresses marketing and website cookies. The QFC guidance indicates that only strictly necessary cookies should be enabled by default where optional tracking relies on consent, and that withdrawing consent should be easy.

Where another lawful basis applies to a particular technology or processing activity, Eleven One Media will document that basis and provide the disclosures and controls required by applicable law.

6. Privacy Settings / Preference Centre

Eleven One Media should provide a persistent and easily accessible “Privacy Settings” or “Cookie Settings” control from the website footer and, where applicable, account settings. The control should allow users to review and change non-essential preferences at any time.

Recommended production controls:

  • Accept All – activates all optional categories for which consent is requested;
  • Reject Non-Essential – leaves only strictly necessary technologies active;
  • Customise – lets the user independently enable or disable available optional categories;
  • Save Preferences – records the user’s current selection;
  • Change / Withdraw Consent – remains accessible after the initial choice without requiring the user to search through legal documents; and
  • Cookie Details – displays the current cookie/technology inventory, provider, purpose and duration where applicable.

The following structure is recommended for implementation. Final interface copy may be adjusted for design and localisation, but the choices should remain equally understandable and technically effective:

We value your privacy

We use strictly necessary technologies to operate and secure our services. With your permission, we may also use analytics, functional and advertising technologies to understand usage, improve your experience and measure our communications. You can accept all, reject non-essential technologies, or customise your choices. You can change your preferences at any time through Privacy Settings. Buttons: [Accept All] [Reject Non-Essential] [Customise]

8. No Dark Patterns or Misleading Controls

Privacy choices should be presented fairly. Eleven One Media should not design controls in a way that makes rejection materially harder than acceptance, falsely suggests that tracking is inactive when it is already running, or continues optional tracking after a user has disabled it.

This is also important for United States operations. New York Attorney General guidance warns businesses against privacy controls that do not work as described and against cookie banners that imply tracking begins only after acceptance when tracking has already been deployed.

9. Third-Party Services

Some cookies or similar technologies may be provided by third parties such as hosting providers, analytics providers, payment providers, embedded media platforms, customer-support tools, advertising platforms or social networks. The providers actually used in production should be identified in the live cookie inventory.

Third-party services may process information under their own privacy terms. Eleven One Media will take reasonable steps to select appropriate providers, configure them in accordance with our choices and applicable law, and limit optional third-party tracking until the required user choice has been obtained.

Before publication, the engineering and legal teams should maintain an accurate inventory of technologies deployed in production. Each record should include at least:

FieldRequired Information
Name / IdentifierExact cookie, tag, SDK or technology name.
ProviderEleven One Media or the relevant third party.
CategoryNecessary, analytics, functional, advertising/targeting, or other approved category.
PurposePlain-language explanation of what the technology does.
DataKey data elements processed, where material.
DurationSession, persistent duration, or equivalent retention period.
TriggerWhether it loads before consent or only after the relevant preference.
Policy linkRelevant third-party privacy/cookie information where applicable.

The live Cookie Policy should reflect the actual production inventory. Placeholder or guessed cookie names should not be published.

11. Managing Cookies Through a Browser or Device

Users may also use browser or device settings to block or delete cookies and other stored data. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent parts of the service from functioning correctly. Browser controls do not necessarily replace in-site privacy settings for technologies that operate through methods other than traditional cookies.

12. Logged-In Users and Multiple Devices

Where technically feasible and appropriate, Eleven One Media may associate privacy preferences with an authenticated account so that choices can be respected across sessions. Some settings may still be device- or browser-specific. Users may therefore need to set preferences separately on different browsers or devices.

13. Children

Eleven One Media services are primarily intended for professional media, editorial, licensing and business audiences. We do not intentionally use optional behavioural advertising technologies to profile children where prohibited by applicable law. If a service is specifically directed to children in the future, separate age-appropriate privacy and consent controls should be implemented before launch.

14. International Operations

Because Eleven One Media operates internationally, privacy and tracking rules may differ by jurisdiction. The company will apply mandatory local requirements to relevant users and processing activities, including additional consent, opt-out, disclosure or signal-recognition requirements where applicable.

For QFC-regulated processing, the QFC Data Protection Regulations 2021 and Data Protection Rules 2021 form the primary data-protection framework. For United States activities, applicable federal and state requirements must also be considered, including New York requirements and enforcement expectations relevant to privacy representations and online tracking.

Eleven One Media may retain records of consent and privacy choices for an appropriate period to demonstrate compliance, remember preferences, resolve disputes and avoid repeatedly asking users for the same choice. Such records may include the consent status, date/time, policy or banner version, categories selected and an appropriate device or session identifier.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in technology, service providers, our operations, legal requirements or regulatory guidance. Material changes should be communicated through an appropriate notice, and fresh consent should be requested where a change materially expands consent-based processing in a manner that requires a new choice.

17. Contact and Privacy Requests

Questions about cookies, privacy settings or personal-data processing may be submitted through the official contact channels published on elevenone.media. A dedicated privacy or data-protection contact may be added to the final published version once formally approved by Eleven One Media.

Where QFC data-protection law applies, individuals may also have the right to raise concerns with the Qatar Financial Centre Data Protection Office in accordance with the applicable QFC framework.

18. Implementation Requirements Before Publication

This document should not be published as a final policy until the production configuration has been checked. Before launch, Eleven One Media should confirm that:

  • all deployed cookies, tags, SDKs and similar technologies have been inventoried;
  • optional technologies are technically blocked before consent where required;
  • Accept All, Reject Non-Essential and Customise controls perform exactly as described;
  • withdrawal or preference changes take effect without unreasonable delay;
  • consent records and policy versions are retained appropriately;
  • embedded third-party content follows the selected preference model;
  • analytics and advertising providers are configured consistently with this Policy;
  • Privacy Settings remain accessible from the footer or equivalent persistent location; and
  • the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions and this Cookie Policy use consistent terminology and contact information.

This internal draft was structured with reference to the QFC Data Protection Regulations and Rules 2021 and related QFC guidance on consent and website cookies, together with current New York Attorney General business guidance concerning website privacy controls. Final legal applicability depends on the actual technologies used, the location of users, the nature of the processing and the contractual structure of Eleven One Media operations.
